The Root Chakra is our connection to Earth, to our earthly existence. Its here where we keep limiting beliefs and fears about our survival, our safety and our security. Our ability to survive in this world is often dictated by what we've received from our ancestors, from our own impressions of life here in this realm. The belief that we are simply flesh and blood and nothing more and nothing less may be stored here. Often if our energy is only activated in the root chakra, our existence will revolve around survival and only about survival and life in the physical material world and nothing more.

The Root Chakra is also connected to Earth Magic and our ability to connect with the Divine Earthly energy of Gaia. Its about how much space we can hold in the physical, how much space we can create for ourselves in the physical realm to exist and thrive.
